Merry Christmas one and all

Christmas is almost upon us. This year it has been very exciting in our house as Jack is of an age where he now understands about and believes in Santa Claus. I think I'm almost as excited as him. I can't wait to see his face on Christmas morning. It's also a special one as it's Eddies first Christmas. I'm sure he will appreciate all the discarded wrapping paper :)

It's been a rewarding yet difficult year. Edwards arrival although joyous was very traumatic. My physical recovery was much longer than we anticipated. Thankfully I'm feeling more like my old self everyday. It's been a great learning curve having 2 kids to wrangle. Some days I wonder what I have done but the bond my two boys have is a blessing in itself.

I hope to be crafting a lot more in 2011. No grand plans. Just be nice to get back some 'mummy' time and see where that takes me.

Merry Christmas my lovely bloggers. Wishing you all a safe and prosperous 2011!

kokeshi love

I bought myself an early Christmas present. I have been coveting one of Melanie's brooches ever since she started making them. After a bit of stalking gentle persuasion she listed some in her Etsy shop...

The brooch came wrapped in the most gorgeous kimono fabric which I made into a matching ring. I also bought a Teapot Brooch for my mum for Christmas....I'm secretly hoping she will lend it to me.

new baby...

I have a birthday coming up and this year I asked for an extra special present. A new camera. A digital SLR.

Some 14 years ago I studied photography at RMIT but since then so many things have changed. When I studied we had to roll and develop our own film...shocking I know!

It's all slowly coming back to me and I'm really loving it again. My newest kid makes a pretty cute subject too

Apon further investigation I discovered he had 'helped himself'

When he asked me why I was taking photo's I told him it was to show Santa.
Yes, I am a bad, bad mummy

  Owl Ring - Limedrop

Flower Ring - Skulk of Foxes

There is a great selection of photo's over at the Design Files

blogtoberfest giveaway

Yes, it's blogtoberfest time again. I would love to have had the time to join in but around here it's all boobs, poo and mushy pumpkin which doesn't make for very interesting blogging. Or does it?

Instead I thought I would get in on the action with a giveaway. Would you like to win the above necklace and earring set? Yes?

All you need to do is leave me a comment here before the 17th of October. Simple as that. I will draw the winner by random the following day. Enjoy!

**ETA - giveaway now CLOSED! I will draw the winner tonight (18/10/10)**

show and tell

I'm a bit late but I wanted to show off my loot from the MMM last weekend. I have been admiring Jo's (from Frankie and Ray) scarfs for AGES so we did a little crafty swap. I love it so much and have been wishing for the cooler weather to last just a bit longer so I can keep wearing it.

I also bought a new nappy bag as the old one didn't hook onto my pram so well (that's what I told my hubby anyway!!) Fiona from Spare Room is a regular at the MMM and she just happened to be having a moving sale. I really love the measuring tape detail.

The last MMM for the year is on the 20th of November - just in time for Christmas. I'll be having a stall there too!

17 September, 2010

ink jet printable fabric

I spied some of this ink jet printable fabric over on curlypops blog and thought it was such a great idea. So I started playing...

A mini canvas (8cm x 6cm) featuring my mum and Eddie laughing

Some Fabric Buttons of the boys. I can see some Christmas gifts being made with them...maybe even some personalised jewellery

You can buy the fabric over here

10 September, 2010

new rings

These are still adjustable but much more comfortable to wear as they are set into the ring bezel. I've snagged the top left one for myself but I could have trouble parting with the little bunny too.

Appearing soon in my shop as well as Georgie Love

MMM

The MMM is on this Saturday in Seddon. It was one of my regular markets pre Eddie. This weekend I'll be going along just for a look and to do a bit of a crafty swap with this lovely lady.
