Sophie Isobel Designs

Look what was in my letterbox today...I've been admiring these for a while since seeing them over here. Sophie is donating all of her profits to the Bush Fire Appeal (til the 20th of this month) so it gave me the perfect excuse to buy one. They are so lovely. Have a look at her Etsy shop or have a custom one made.

Victorian Bush Fires

The bush fires Victoria are experiencing are horrific. The lives, homes and animals lost is so hard to comprehend. To think that some of these fires were deliberately lit makes me sick and angry.

Some friends of ours had a house in Marysville. They were lucky enough to see (and hear) the fire coming and decided to leave. Sadly their house is gone but they are still here. Hundreds of others were not so lucky.

The one positive thing that has come out of this tragedy is how everyone is getting behind Victorians to help the families who have lost everything. Cindy from bug and pop has set up a new blog called Handmade Help. Head on over to find out how you can assist with donations and check out the ebay auctions already in process.
I will be listing some of my button jewellery on ebay shortly. All money raised will go directly to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
Cam from Curlypops has a great post about all the bloggers who are doing their bit to help
